BEi: Providing employment, support services for people with disabilities for 40 years

BEi serves more than 100 people daily in a diversity of programs provided n Warren and Forest Counties.

At the BEi workshop in North Warren, a dedicated workforce supports local industry expediting products to market through contracts with local manufacturers such as Whirley-Drinkworks!, Petrex, Interlectric, OSRAM Sylvania, and Entech Plastics. Optional employment opportunities are offered through janitorial services contracts with the Jefferson DeFrees Family Center and the Headquarters of the Allegheny National Forest. Seasonal retail work experience is offered through BEi 's beach concessions at Chapman State Park. In the community, BEi Therapeutic Activity and Life Skills programs maintain people in their homes, provide training in independent living skills, and enable community participation through use of community resources to meet basic living needs and also to enjoy life.

Since its founding in 1972, BEi has been responsive to the needs of individuals with disabilities as well as to their families.
