A Grand Valley man died in a crash between Pittsfield and Garland on Thursday evening.
Warren-based state police reported Paul Baker, 46, of Grand Valley died in the Rt. 27 crash. It occurred at 8:32 p.m.
Jason Johnson of Titusville was driving one car with Baker and Tyler Muir as passengers. They were traveling west on Rt. 27, police stated, when the vehicle hit standing water in the roadway and spun counter-clockwise a number of times before striking a vehicle in the eastbound lane.
Brian Bull, 42, of Youngsville, was driving the second vehicle with a 9-year-old female of Youngsville and a 5-year-old male of Youngsville as passengers.
According to police, Baker was pronounced dead at the scene.
Everyone involved was transported for treatment for injuries, police said, which ranged from moderate to severe. Both juveniles have been released with minor injuries.
All occupants of the second vehicle were wearing seatbelts. However, police stated all occupants of the first vehicle were not wearing seatbelts.
The investigation is continuing, police said, and charges are pending.
