Hole-in-one
Conewango Valley Country Club member Jerry Bancroft recorded his second hole-in-one of the 2012 golf season and third of his career Thursday at CVCC. The ace came on the par 3 7th hole, measuring 170 yards, and was struck with a 5-iron. The shot was witnessed by Tony Pellegrino Sr., Doug Swanson and Bill Andrews.
Jr. high hoops
Youngsville eighth-graders beat Eisenhower, 34-21, on Thursday at Youngsville Elementary Middle School. For Youngsville, Autumn Hultberg had 11 points, Kathy Sveda seven, Alison Ishman six, Julia Bailey four, Hannah Bulard four, and Madison Fehlman two. For Ike. Joni Zortman had eight, Kirsten Baran seven, Alecia Straight six.
Youngsville beat Eisenhower's seventh-graders, 40-14. For Youngsville, Hultberg had 16 points, Caitlin Craig had 11, Maddie Cratty six, Alexis Slocum two, Abby Carr two, Morgan Lawson two, and Paige Mineweaser one. For Ike, Ana Carlton led Ike with six, Payton Mineweaser four, Savannah McKown two, and Miranda Garris two.
Eisenhower is at Rocky Grove on Monday. Youngsville hosts Sheffield on Wednesday.
