Criminal trespass. Conewango Township Police report on Oct 18 at 7:45 a.m., they arrested Tara Nulph, 309 N. State St., which is an EOC house. Police said Nulph was charged with liability for conduct of another - criminal trespass after she invited a male subject into the residence knowing that in doing so, the subject would be committing criminal trespass.
Hit and run. Conewango Township Police report on Oct. 17 at 10:30 a.m. someone driving a light blue Chevrolet Lumina or a similarly-sized sedan struck the driver's side of a red 2012 Dodge pickup causing moderate damage. Police said the fleeing vehicle should have passenger-side damage and a possible red paint transfer. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police at 726-0725.
Theft. On Oct 9, Conewango Township Police were dispatched to Walmart for an internal theft. The store's loss prevention personnel told police that while Andrew Sivi, Warren, was working at Walmart, he had take $950 and $499.06 worth of merchandise from Aug. 17 to Oct 9. Police charged Sivi with one count misdemeanor theft by unlawful taking and one count misdemeanor retail theft. All charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer pending further court action.
Hit and run. Conewango Township Police responded to The Dollar Tree on Oct. 16 for a reported hit and run. Police said Tammy Stolt told them that a female driver in a red Chevrolet Monte Carlo with Pennsylvania license plates backed into her vehicle causing minor damage and left the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police or Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers.
Theft by deception. On Oct 17 at 5 p.m., Conewango Township Police conducted a follow-up investigation and found Nikkia Rowland Lindstrom had stolen $159.90 worth of merchandise from Walmart on Aug. 29 and returned the items to Walmart for a gift card for that amount on the same day. Police said Lindstrom is being charged with one count of misdemeanor theft by deception and charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.
Retail theft. On Oct. 17 at 4:30 p.m., Conewango Township Police were dispatched to Walmart for a retail theft. Loss prevention personnel told police that Ashley Cappadonia and two female juveniles, ages 16 and 14, all of Frewsburg, N.Y., concealed $142.71 worth of merchandise in their purses. They were stopped after they walked out of the store. All three were charged with one count of retail theft and were release to a responsible party. Charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer office.
Jamestown, N.Y.
Counterfeit arrest. Following an investigation, Jamestown Police said they have arrested Michael B. Gordan, 22 of Jamestown after he was found to be passing counterfeit $20 bills in the city. The initial complaint came from a local pizza establishment after the accused paid for $60 of pizza using three counterfeit $20 bills. The pizza company reported the incident to Jamestown Police, a search warrant was issued and more counterfeit money was found along with computer equipment used to print the counterfeit money. The subject was charged earlier this month with forgery in the first degree (felony) and was arraigned and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail. Additional charges against Gordan are pending, according to police. The U.S. Secret Service is assisting with the investigation.
