Kanoagoa DAC has meeting

October 18, 2012
The Times Observer

The Kanoagoa Chapter, Daughters of the American Colonists (DAC), recently held their meeting at the Cable Hollow Golf Course with 15 members and three guests present. October is designated as "Honor Our Veterans" month. Helen Clark, chairman of the veterans committee, received donations which she will present to the Veterans Hospital in Erie. Guest speaker was Starr Lehman, pictured, communications coordinator for the Pennsylvania DAC, and she spoke on recruiting new members for DAC. National Society DAC members are descendants of a man or woman who rendered patriotic or civil service to the American Colonies prior to July 4, 1776. DAC is a friendly lineage society with members working to preserve their heritage and record their history for future generations. The committee was Nancy Rossman, Lucinda Miller, Nancy Oliphant and Liz Brown. The tables were decorated with mums and colored leaves. Any woman interested in joining DAC should call Judi Wilson 726-7240.
