Eisenhower's bid for its fourth win of the season came up short Tuesday afternoon, as the Lady Knights dropped a 4-0 contest to North East at Eisenhower High School.

"They looked to be better prepared in the first half," said Eisenhower coach Kevin Weigel. "We came out with better hustle and better energy in the second half, but couldn't get on the board."

North East scored two quick goals in the first half and two more in the second to put the game away and drop the Knights to 3-7-2 overall and 2-6-2 in Region 3.

Rachel Dinger had a busy day in net, racking up eight saves in the loss.

"We need to start believing that we can play with some of these better teams," said Weigel, whose Knights trail Fairview, Iroquois, Seneca and North East in the region.

The schedule doesn't get any easier for the Lady Knights, as they travel to Lawrence Park Thursday to take on second-place Iroquois. Eisenhower battled to a 1-1 tie in its first meeting with the Braves.
