ROCKY GROVE - Youngsville's and Warren's girls cross country teams both finished in the top five at Saturday's Rocky Grove Invitational at 2-Mile Run County Park.
Youngsville was third out of 12 scoring teams, behind only champion Knoch and Cranberry.
Kellie Lindstrom was 14th overall in the 3.1-mile race, just out of 13th, in 21:07 to lead the Lady Eagles; Abbie Swartzbaugh 27th in 23:05; Kaitlyn Maille 33rd in 23:35; Piper Olsen 37th in 23:42; Lydia Swartzbaugh 43rd in 24:05; Mallory Eastman 46th in 24:10, and; Sam Tome 69th in 25:42.
Warren's Ellis Beardsley was the top county finisher, racing to an 11th-place finish out of 108 in 21:53. Teammate Amanda Castagnino was 26th in 22:59; Anna Falvo 28th in 23:09; Deanna Hahn 50th in 24:19, and; Alyssa Cumberland 75th in 26:12.
Warren's boys were 13th out of 15 scoring teams.
Seth Johnson was 66th overall in 20:27; Max Pierson 81st in 21:08; Mark Reiff 82nd in 21:12; Christian Olsen 86th in 21:20, and; Dan Pierson 95th in 22:20.
For Youngsville, Aaron Hoover was 60th in 20:15; Bobby Bower 70th in 20:32; Ben Stover 96th in 22:23, and; Collin Alekson 103rd in 23:10.
