Leaf Collections Starting Monday

Fall leaf collection in some communities in Warren County is underway or about to begin. Leaf collection information submitted to the Times Observer includes:

City of Warren - The Department of Public Works will begin its 2012 leaf collection on Monday, Oct. 15. Crews will be collecting throughout the city on a daily basis, concentrating on areas of most need. It is anticipated that leaf collection will be essentially complete the week of Nov. 23. However, a leaf crew will operate on an as-needed basis until the first heavy snowfall.

Youngsville Borough - Leaf collection will begin on Monday, Oct. 15. Streets have been assigned a day of the week for collection. Residents are asked to rake leaves to the curb but not into the street. Residents are asked to bundle sticks and branches and pile them separately and to make sure there are no stones in their piles.

Monday - Railroad, East Main, Davis, College, Orchard, Oak and Church

Tuesday - Woodard, Poplar, Ford, IOOF, Marsh, Bates, Pleasant

Wednesday - Brown Hill, Water, Mill, Highland, Second, West Main, West Main Ext., High, Broad, Beckenwood, Sonia

Thursday - 3rd to 9th, Dillon, Division, North Main, Yucha, McGraw, Spring, Hillside, LaVerne

Friday - Areas not completed on assigned days

Sheffield Township - Leaf collection is every Monday and Friday. Leaf bags are available at the township office.

Conewango Township - Leaf collection will begin on Monday, Oct. 15 and continue Monday through Friday until Nov.21 as weather permits.
