Josephine C. (Juliano) Unger, age 94, of Millcreek, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at UPMC Hamot. Born in Warren, Pa. on February 7, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Dominick and Mary (Scalise) Juliano.
Before retiring in 1978, she was an armature winder at Erie General Electric for more than 32 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church, and enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, and playing cards. She was also a life member of the Siebenbuerger Club Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. Unger, in 1976; soninlaw, David W. Straub; and brothers and sisters, Minnie Logue, Marion Stephens, Florence Hamm, Helen Swensen, and Frank, Vincent and Paul Juliano.

Survivors include four children, Eugene Sorrentino, wife Elizabeth, of Girard, William H. Unger, wife Nancy, of Waterford, Donna Straub, of Erie, and James Unger, wife Rose, of Girard; five grandchildren, Sean and Brian Sorrentino, Christopher Unger, Melissa Costello, husband Mike, and David Straub II; two greatgrandchildren, Michael and Amber Costello; a brother, Dominick A. Juliano, Jr., wife Sue, of Erie; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, and may attend a prayer service there Saturday at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Peace Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
