Doll club to meet
The Kinzua Country Dollers will meet at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Warren Public Library. A program on Halloween related dolls will be presented. New members are always welcome.
Emergycare at ACC
Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark St., will host Emergycare from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 17. Cost for those younger than 65 is $40 per year for single and $50 for a couple, and for those older than 65 is $35 a year for single and $45 a year for a couple.
'Equality of Rights' planned Saturday
In celebration of the Woman's Club of Warren's Centennial, "Equality of Rights. The First Woman's Rights Convention," a play written by Gerald S. Argetsinger, will be presented at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Woman's Club of Warren, 310 Market St., Warren. The event is being presented "in partnership and celebration of the Warren League of Women Voters: 50 years of educating citizens; Woman's Club of Warren: 100 years of collegiality; Allegheny Center for the Arts: two years of fostering acting excellence; and the Warren County Historical Society: 112 years of preserving local history." Tickets are $12 per person for the performance and refreshments and on sale at the Warren County Historical Society, 210 Fourth Ave. (723-1795), at the Woman's Club, 310 Market St. (723-5910), and online at www.warrenhistory.org.
Classic Jazz
Warren Public Library's Classic Jazz series will continue this month with a program titled "Salmagundi: Satchmo to Swing." Recordings will feature numerous early small groups and several big bands active in the 1930s and 1940s in this special survey. Join host Chase Putnam in the Slater Room of the Warren Public Library from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16. the program will be free and open to the public.
To dance Sunday
