JAMESTOWN, N.Y. - Ever since a stunning road loss in Saegertown, the Warren Dragons boys soccer team has been putting together some of its best soccer to date.
That trend continued Saturday as the Dragons ventured out of their region - and the state - and returned with a 2-0 victory over the Jamestown Raiders.
After a scoreless first half, Warren found the back of the net during the second 40 minutes. Matt Sandberg scored the team's first goal on assist from Hunter Mohney and the visitors held a 1-0 lead. That advantage would be pushed to 2-0 soon after when Joseph Bell scored. Bell's goal was assisted by Jason Stanton.
Nathan Sandberg stopped every Jamestown shot that came his way to preserve the shutout win for the 9-3 Dragons.
The team will try to make it six straight victories Tuesday at home when it tries to avenge an earlier season loss to Saegertown Panthers.
