Criminal Mischief. Warren-based state police report an unknown vehicle intentionally ran over and backed over two traffic signs on Roper Hollow and Cornplanter Roads sometime between Sept. 28 and Sept. 29. Anyone with information is asked to contact Warren PSP or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Freehold Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police report on Sept. 30 at approximately 9:20 a.m., W. C. Smith, 74, of Kane, was traveling west on Rt. 6 when a deer entered the roadway from the north. Police said Smith struck the deer causing his 2004 Ford Explorer to become disabled. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Pennmark Towing. No injuries were reported.
Glade Twp.
DUI. Warren-based state police report on Sept. 29 at 1:50 a.m., Kenneth Peters, 46 of Sugar Grove, was found passed out behind the wheel of his running vehicle along Fifth Avenue Extension. Police said Peters was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Charges are pending through District Court 37-3-01.
Watson Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police report a crash occurred along Rt. 62 when an unnamed 16 year old female lost control of the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer she was driving and over-corrected before rolling over into a ditch. Police said a 17-year-old male passenger received minor injuries. The driver and both passengers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Police were assisted on scene by Tidioute Fire Department, EmergyCare Ambulance and North Warren Fire Department.
Pine Grove Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police report a crash occurred Oct. 4 at 4:17 p.m. as Tammie Martenson, 41 of Jamestown, NY was traveling north on Rt. 62 in an active construction zone and failed to stop for a line of traffic. Martenson's 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier collided with a 2008 Mazda CX-7 driven by Jerome Baker, 34 of Youngsville. One passenger in Baker's vehicle was transported to Warren General Hospital via ambulance. All persons involved were wearing seatbelts. Martenson's vehicle was towed from the scene by Rarey's and Russell VFD assisted on scene.
