In was a win-win night for Tidioute Charter volleyball on Thursday at Tidioute Community Charter School.
In addition to raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness on its 3rd Annual Pink Out, the Lady Bulldogs improved to 3-6 overall with a 25-23, 25-14, 17-25, 25-19 win over East Forest.
Sophomore Ryleigh Mahaney may have had her best varsity game, with an ace, 16 service points, one block, one kill and two digs. Robi Kitelinger had three aces, four digs and two kills, Anna Lindemuth five kills, four blocks, two digs, five assists and 13 points. Morgan Molek added 18 points, seven aces and three assists for Tidioute and Taya Krouse 19 points, including six in a row in game two, and four aces.

Meadville 3, Warren 0
MEADVILLE - Warren played better toward the end of the match, but fell in three games, 16-25, 15-25, 19-25, to undefeated Meadville on Thursday.
"We wanted to play with them, make them earn their points, but I say we still gave too many away tonight," said Warren coach Mike Dolan, whose Dragons are 4-5 overall and 2-5 in Region 4. Meadville is 10-0 and 7-0.
Valerie Latimer had five kills and three blocks for Warren, Rachel Lasecki five digs, and Teah Bines three aces and 10 assists.
Losing to Meadville the first time they played this year, Warren's junior varsity team won this time, 25-19 and 25-19. Jennifer Daugharthy had four kills and Lizzy Marsh two.

Cochranton 3, Youngsville 0
COCHRANTON - Youngsville was simply overmatched by Cochranton on Thursday as the state-ranked Cardinals handed the Eagles a 3-0 setback at Cochranton High School.
The Cardinals were dominant in each game of the match, winning 25-5, 25-8, 25-5.
Karissa Cratty finished with 11 digs and Abbey McLaughlin added six digs and four kills of her own.
Cochranton also won the junior varsity contest in a sweep, winning 25-8, 25-6.
The Eagles will join the Eisenhower Knights and host Sheffield Wolverines at the Sheffield Tournament this Saturday at Sheffield Area High School.

Johnsonburg 3, Sheffield 2
On a Pink Out night at Sheffield Area High School, the Lady Wolverines volleyball team started strong, but struggled late in a 3-2 loss to visiting Johnsonburg.
Sheffield won the opening game 25-18 before losing game two by an identical score. The Wolverines claimed game three 25-21, but lost the final two games of the night, 19-25, 10-15.
According to Sheffield coach Tracey Vile, the team had trouble getting its offense going during the game, but did get a solid night from Marlea Sprandle who finished with 15 service points.
Sheffield's junior varsity team was defeated, 22-25, 25-18, 9-15. Julia Vile had 12 service points and Shannon Schultz added nine of her own in the loss.
Sheffield hosts its annual tournament Saturday at Sheffield Area High School.
