Dear editor:
To all who attended the DAV Fish Fry this past Saturday. Please accept my deepest apologies for my big mouth/ foul mouthed stupidity.
The furthest thing from my mind was to offend anyone or to tarnish the event in any way. Clearly my stupid mouth was way ahead of my little brain.
So many folks doing such good work for such worthy causes and all it took was one dumb person to leave a bad taste in folks mouths.
I am most disappointed in myself in regard to the young folks who were present. As an adult I am supposed to be a positive influence. Instead, I was just the opposite.
It is my hope that folks will not view this event negatively in the future because of one non thinking person.
I once again apologize to all for my lack of taste and etiquette.
Alice, thank you for the swift kick in the rear that I so greatly deserve. I have learned a lesson.
