Government gridlock

October 4, 2012
The Times Observer

Dear editor:

A Fantasy Follows: Due to the inability of Congress to work together over budget matters, and the failure of executive leadership to receive the needed cooperation necessary to achieve a successful solution, the public has presented a dare.

After sending a trailer load of diapers to Washington, the dar is for those governmental leaders involved to parade down Pennsylvania Avenue with the diapers, if success cannot be achieved shortly.

Of course, this fantasy will not materialize.

Realistically, our citizens and our economy are suffering drastically from governmental indecision. How can anyone plan for the future as matters now stand? Our major political parties must learn to work together in positive action for the benefit of all. It must be united we stand.
