Glade Twp.

Hit and run. Warren-based state police reported that at 10:22 p.m. on Sept. 28, Kenneth O. Peters, age 46, Sugar Grove, was driving a 1994 Ford F-150 at a high rate of speed, when he lost control at the intersection of Cobham Park Rd. and Irvindale Rd., and crossed the center line and struck a 2002 Honda Civic driven by Justin P. Justice, age 17, Warren, who was also carrying passenger Triston J. Danielson, age 15, Warren. Peters' car continued in a counter-clockwise direction, coming to a stop 100 feet north of Justice's car. Peters' car suffered moderate damage to the rear of the other vehicle, and he fled the scene. The other car suffered disabling damage to the driver's side of the vehicle and was towed from the scene. The driver and passenger in that vehicle were not injured in the crash. Peters was charged with Roadways Laned.

Theft. Warren-based state police reported that between 8 to 10 a.m. on Oct. 1, Bay Blades belonging to Melanie Burtorn, age 43, and a minor male child, age 8, were stolen from the Warren Area Elementary Center.

Pittsfield Twp.

Crash. Warren-based state police reported that at 3:45 p.m. on Sept. 29, Bradley J. Leary, age 56, Warren, was driving a 2000 Honda CRV when he fell asleep at the wheel and traveled across the westbound lane of travel and struck the guide rail on the western berm of SR27. After striking the guide rail, he proceeded back across both lanes of travel and came to a stop on the eastern berm of SR27. The car suffered moderate damage and was town from the scene. The driver was not injured. He was charged with Driving on Roadways Laned.

Public drunkenness. Warren-based state police reported that at 12:12 a.m. on Oct. 1, Christopher Joseph Adams, age 23, Irvine, was climbing the water tower behind Double D's bar while intoxicated, and was charged with Public Drunkenness. Charges were filed through Magistrate District Judge Lindemuth.

Southwest Twp.

Cruelty to animals. Warren-based state police reported that between 5 p.m. on Sept. 30 and 2 p.m. on Oct. 1, an unknown person shot and killed two goats with a firearm, belonging to Richard Johnson, age 51, Grand Valley. Anyone with information pertaining to the investigation is asked to call PSP Warren or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
