Libby Hammond shot a season-low 46 and the Warren Dragons girls golf team earned a win in a rare dual match, topping Union City, 208-229, Monday at Jackson Valley Golf Club.
"I am so happy Libby played the way I knew she could by shooting a 46 and leading us to a victory," said Warren girls coach Tom Smoulder. "That kid has heart and motivation which I am confident will lead her to qualify for districts on Wednesday. In fact, all the girls made me proud tonight. In our first home match, we shot a 235. Tonight, we shot a 208."
Hammond's 46 was the low score of the afternoon - three strokes ahead of teammate Megan Smoulder's 49. Morgan Smith followed that duo with a 51. Smoulder and Smith have already qualified for the District 10 Tournament and the remainder of the team will have that chance in Wednesday's qualifier.

Katelyn Hecei shot a strong 62 in the Warren win followed by the 63 of Clancy Fyock and the 69 of Abby Cromwell.
"Today's round was a huge turnaround and it is wonderful to see the results from their efforts all season," added Smoulder.
