National 4-H Week

October 2, 2012
The Times Observer

The week of Oct. 7-13 marks National 4-H Week. Included in the week, youths across the nation will participate in the 4-H National Youth Science Experiment. This year's experiment focuses on "Eco-Bots." Youth will build and program an autonomous robot to clean up a simulated environmental spill. The experiment provides a real world application for the use of robots and a glimpse at science, technology, engineering and math.

The science experiment can be purchased through the National 4-H mall (www.4-hmall.org). Contact Jennifer at (814) 563-9388 if you are interested in offering this program to your classroom. Help Pennsylvania celebrate 100 years of 4-H and the Nation celebrate the accomplishments of youth October 7-13

The 4-H program is a youth development program of Penn State Extension. It is open to all youth between the ages of 8 and 19
