New sign for Allegheny Community Center

October 2, 2012
The Times Observer

A new sign has been mounted on the front of the Transit Authority of Warren County Building at 42 Clark Street in downtown Warren. The sign, in the upper right corner of the building, indicates the location of the Allegheny Community Center, sponsored by Experience, Inc. Located on the second floor, it has been in operation since November 2010.

The purpose of Allegheny Community Center is to provide a community asset where persons and groups of all ages, especially the senior population, can meet for socialization, dining, education, healthy-living practices and other programming as desired by the participants or provided for, and in response to, the general public. Many community events are being held there each month. A calendar of events can be found in the electronic form of the agency newsletter, The Voice of Experience, at www.experienceinc.org.

Annual dues at the center are $15 per calendar year. A policy for prorating dues for new members was recently implemented. If you have never been a member of the Allegheny Community Center, consider joining. Dues are an important part of center operations and membership shows your support for the center.
