Free dinner Oct. 3
The United Methodist Women's Group of the Grand Valley and Sanford Charge will be hosting a free community dinner for all residents of Eldred and Southwest Townships in Warren County from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, or until food runs out. The dinner will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Grand Valley United Methodist Church, on Goodwill Street (off Route 27 in Grand Valley) and will consist of chicken, mashed potatoes, peas, dessert and beverage. The fellowship hall is handicap-accessible.
Make & Take at the Rouse
Join the Rouse on Saturday, Nov. 3, for Make & Take Day! This creative crafting event will allow participants to move from station to station, learning new crafting techniques as they go. At the end of the day, everything you make - out of new and gently used materials - comes home with you! The event will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and a light breakfast and lunch will be provided. The cost for Make & Take Day is $25. To register, contact Brenda Dean at 563-6473. Deadline to register is Friday, Oct. 12.
Class to lunch
Warren High School Class of 1959 will meet at Cable Hollow Golf Course for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2. Fall colors should be well on their way to their peak, making it a beautiful drive there and back. Friends, Spouses and guests are welcome.
Philomel to meet
The Philomel Club of Warren will have a "President's Choice" program at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Woman's Club of Warren, 310 Market St. Chairperson will be Rosalind Hupp. Hosting will be the Philomel board of directors.
Men to breakfast
A men's breakfast will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at North Warren Presbyterian Church. The breakfast is open to all men of the community, regardless of faith. Cost is a donation of $3 for breakfast cooked by men from our community. All men are welcome.
Cancer support offered
The Women's Cancer Support Group will have its monthly breakfast at Richard's Restaurant, Youngsville, at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6. For more information, call 726-1786.
