GIRLS SOCCER: Dragons shut out at Fort LeBoeuf

September 28, 2012
The Times Observer

WATERFORD - Warren battled undefeated Fort LeBoeuf to a 2-0 non-region loss on Thursday.

"Overall we played well," said Warren coach Bob Domville, whose Dragons are 3-7 overall. Fort LeBoeuf improves to 8-0-2.

"There were just some minor things that hopefully we can improve on," said Domville. "They girls picked it up in the second half."

Trailing 2-0 at halftime, Jaimie Eaton and Kaitlin Ishman created good chances to score. Ishman's shot was bobbled by the goalie, "but we were just a little late for the rebound," said Domville.

"All the defense played fairly well, I thought," he said. "Paige Rimer, Reid Yarzabek, Sabrina Anderson, Katie Ressler, they all played well. Weve been playing Amy Castagnino at midfield and she's getting the hang of it. It is disappointing to play well, but not find the back of the net."

Amanda Pinkerton played the whole way in goal.

Summer Rosandahl scored in a 1-1 junior varsity tie. Cheylee Smith was in goal for Warren.
