Alzheimer's walk Saturday
The Walk to End Alzheimer's will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, at Betts Park. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and the walk will start at 11 a.m.
Bingo tonight
The Allegheny Community Center announces there will be evening bingo this Friday, with doors opening at 4 p.m., and early-bird bingo beginning at 6 p.m. The progressive jackpot is now at $350. Movie Monday
Monday Night Movies at the Warren Public Library will continue Oct. 1. This event will be free of charge and will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Slater Room on the third floor of the library. Thanks to donations, complimentary popcorn will be available. This week's PG-13 rated, 127 minute film stars Chris Hemsworth, Kristen Stewart, and Charlize Theron. In this epic action-adventure a young girl is the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagines I that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman who was dispatched to kill her. Call the library at 723-4650 for the exact title of this and other movies in this series as the library's movie license does not permit listing the titles of movies outside the library.
Puppet play Sunday
Starbrick Community Church will have a puppet play, "Jesus' Miracle of the Feeding of 5,000 People," by the children of the church at the 10 a.m. service on Sept. 30. The play was written and produced by Celia Chase and Rose Wells. All the children of the church will participate. The public is invited. Children who visit can be involved in the play.
