Dear Editor,
Congratulations to St. Joseph School:
It has always been my belief that it is most fruitful to honor war veterans and victims of terrorism by addressing the causes of the necessity for their service in war or the contempt of others for our way of life.
A Day of Peace at St. Joseph School must be congratulated as a most honorable occasssion. Our veterans all fought, served and died for the hope of peace. Why not honor them by striving for that goal as well as memorializing past action?
The idea that peace is possible is a noble beginning, not with a Department of Peace as some propose, but with the thought that peace be better attained by stressing positive values within every home of this free nation, setting a true example for the world.
Sincerely,
Charles S. Merroth
Warren
