B Division champions
Meridien Hardwood captured the B Division title of the Over 30 Modified Softball League this past Thursday at Betts Park, defeating Kwik Fill in the finals. Varsity: Northwest Savings Bank Panthers vs. Cornerstone Cougars, 5:45 p.m.; Truck Lite Lions vs. Rogers Construction Bobcats, 7 p.m.

Jr. high football

Beaty's eighth-grade football team defeated West Lake, 25-6, this past week. Beaty scored the first touchdown of the game on a 36-yard run from Solomon Gross. Nick DeSimone kicked the extra point to make it 7-0. Gross later added a 67-yard touchdown run to make it 13-0 in the second quarter. West Lake scored right before halftime to cut the lead to 13-6.

In the third quarter, Colbin Constable followed a long kick return from Cody Marfink with a 50-yard touchdown run and the Dragons led 20-6. Constable would add a 60-yard interception return for a touchdown and Marfink picked off Beaty's fourth pass of the day.

DeSimone and Noah Becker led the defense. Seth Baldensperger, Derick Nowacki and Austin Brenner all had tackles for loss in the win. Beaty (2-1) hosts a powerful Titusville team at 4 p.m. Thursday at War Memorial Field.

College news

Warren Area High School graduate and Pitt-Bradford men's golf team member Casey Moyer shot a 94 for the Panthers at the Medaille Invitational on Saturday. The Panthers placed fourth in the final team standings.

The Panthers return to action Tuesday, competing at the La Roche Invitational.

Schedule change

The Warren at Oil City boys soccer match on Tuesday has been changed to a 6:30 p.m. varsity start with junior varsity to follow.
