Dear editor,
I felt compelled to write to your paper in regard to the present situation in our country and throughout the world. It is obvious that there is an intense struggle underway for the very heart and soul of America. There are forces at work politically, socially, and economically to end the nation as we know it. The U.S., as all countries, has made mistakes down through the years, but its power and greatness have defeated and kept in check numerous dictators. American blood has purchased freedom for so many throughout the world.
With that in mind, it's not surprising to see that there are several factions here and abroad plotting and scheming to bring our country to its knees. However, just as in the fall of Rome, a power vacuum created by a diminished U.S., could usher in a new "Dark Ages" - something beyond anyone's comprehension! These people, so bent on world transformation, should be careful what they wish for.
With the economies of Europe and America hanging by a thread, it would behoove us to proceed with the utmost caution in the Middle East. A nuclear Iran is obviously not a rational option, but an all out attack by the West and Israel could also produce catastrophic results. It's fascinating that the U.S. is referred to several times in Bible prophecy, particularly in the books of Daniel and the Revelation, where an eventual confrontation with Iran is described in some detail. In the final analysis, America and its allies are victorious in the initial campaign, but pay a very heavy price in the aftermath. If ever there was a time to pray for our nation and perhaps prepare for a coming storm it is now.
