Rodney L Baker, Sr., 56, of Canton Street, Warren, PA, and formerly of South Street, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012, at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, Pa., following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Baker, Sr. was born September 18, 1956, in Warren, Pa., the son of the late Robert and Shirley Uhrine Baker. Rodney was a lifelong resident of the Warren area and worked at Osram Sylvania for ten years, and was also a pyrotechnician for Zambelli Fireworks, retiring due to disability. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. Rodney enjoyed all sports, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Linda D. Fehlman Baker, Warren, Pa.; son, Rodney L. Baker, Jr. and fiancee, Ashley Parsons, also of Warren, Pa.; daughter, Brandy Michael, and husband, Thomas, Clarendon, Pa.; three stepchildren, Tracie Dowd, Adrian, Pa., Shaun Dowd, and wife, Laura, and Jodie Dowd, all of Warren, Pa.; sister, Kimberly Haupt, and husband, Edward, Erie, Pa., four grandsons; two granddaughters; three step grandsons; several nieces and nephews; and the family dog, Buttercup.
Friends will be received at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Monday, September 24, 2012, from noon until 2 p.m., at which time, a funeral service will be held there with Rev. David S. Wimer, pastor, Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Barnes Cemetery.
