The Lady Dragons battled hard against McDowell, but came up short, falling to the Trojans, 7-1, on Thursday at War Memorial Field.
Warren trailed only 2-0 at halftime in the non-region match, and quickly made it a one-goal game when Kaitlin Ishman scored on a free kick at the beginning of the second half.
From that point, McDowell's offense took over, dominating possession and adding five second-half goals to put the game out of reach.

The Dragons had a great chance to add a second goal late in the game, but the Trojans keeper made a fantastic save on a breakaway.
"I thought we played well, all things considered," Warren coach Bob Domville said. "We battled back to make it 2-1. Sometimes things just don't go your way and you have to pick your head up and play hard. I thought Reid Yarzabek had her best game of the year, and Amanda Pinkerton played very well in the first half with some nice saves."
The Dragons (3-5 overall, 1-0 in Region 3) will face another tough opponent when they travel to Mercyhurst Prep on Monday for their second region game. Warren will next play at home on October 2.

North East 1, Eisenhower 0, 2OT
NORTH EAST - Eisenhower has come a long way.
Homestanding North East needed 95 minutes to get on the board, defeating the Lady Knights 1-0 in double overtime Thursday at North East High School.
"They controlled more of the play than we did, but our defense continues to look better and better," said Eisenhower coach Kevin Weigel. "We did a great job denying the attack. But I think we still need to work on our ball control and transition game."
Eisenhower nearly won the game with a goal in the first ten-minute overtime period. Jackie Talasky played a through ball to older sister Taylor Talasky who nearly beat the North East goalkeeper.
Weigel praised the strong defensive play of sweeper Brooke Stanton, outside defenders Bizz Baran and Courtney Knapp and stopper Erica Littlefield. He added that Rachel Dinger made 15 saves, several of which were impressive in nature.
The Lady Knights (0-3-1) return to action Monday at Iroquois.
