MARIENVILLE - After dropping the first two games of Thursday's road match with East Forest, Tidioute's volleyball team "got loud."
The energy turned to momentum which turned into a comeback as the Bulldogs finished off an 18-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-17, 15-5 victory over the Bears.
"The girls learned the power of their voices tonight," said Tidioute coach Margie Manning. "When they were loud, it created excitement and that built momentum. Even in those last couple of games, if we lost a point we stayed loud and kept momentum rolling."
Ryleigh Mahaney had eight kills, two aces and an assist for the winners. Tanya Krouse added seven aces, Anna Lindemuth 10 kills, two blocks and four aces and Morgan Molek six aces and seven assists.
The Bulldogs' junior varsity team was defeated, 17-25, 13-25. Seneca Glotz had two aces and Desi McChesney a dig and three aces in the loss.
TCCS (2-3) is back in action Monday, hosting Iroquois.

Union City 3, Eisenhower 0
UNION CITY - The Lady Knights (1-4) hung with Union City (5-1) in almost every game, but fell 19-25, 17-25, 10-25.
Alyssa Peterson had 12 service points, five blocks and two kills; Kelsey Repke five digs, and; Marion Sherer eight blocks for Ike in the loss.
Aprille Seamans had a strong night in a 21-25, 11-25 junior varsity loss.

Maplewood 3, Youngsville 0
GUYS MILLS - "We actually played very well tonight," said Youngsville coach Bev Fox, whose Eagles are 2-4 overall after a 17-25, 12-25, 10-25 loss to undefeated Maplewood.
"Young mistakes (were the difference)," she said.
Maplewood is a senior-ladened team that improves to 4-0 overall and in first in Region 2.
"In the first game, we were right with them," said Fox.
Abbey McLaughlin finished with six points, five kills and four digs; Aubree Hendrickson six assists and five digs; Karissa Cratty nine digs, and; Kennedy Cratty four points, 13 digs, two kills and two blocks.
Kailey Giese had 16 points in a 25-23, 21-25, 3-15 J.V. loss. Juli Jameson added four points and 16 digs, Karrie Baker six points and 16 digs, and Marissa Byler 10 assists.

Titusville 3, Warren 0
TITUSVILLE - Titusville needed just three games to defeat Warren's volleyball team Thursday, winning 25-16, 25-23, 25-18 at Titusville Area High School.
Valerie Latimer had seven kills and three blocks for Warren and teammate McKenzie Merenick finished with 11 digs. Rachel Lasecki contributed four blocks and three kills and Teah Bines finished with 10 assists.
The Dragons' junior varsity team lost 25-15, 25-9. Keyah Anderson had 12 digs and Lizzy Marsh had two blocks in the loss.
Warren (1-3) returns to the court Tuesday, hosting Franklin.
