Eugene C. Musante, age 70, of Carver, MA, died on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at his home. Born in Warren, Pa., May 20, 1942, he graduated from Warren High School in 1960 and Gannon University, Erie, Pa., in 1969. He served in the U.S. Navy from 196266 as an Electronics Technician. His lifelong career was in the telecommunications and computer networking field. He retired from Fidelity Investments in 2002 as Senior Manager of Disaster Recovery, and worked part time at Staples in Plymouth, MA. in the Electronics Department for three and a half years.
He lived in the Boston area since 1973 and was an avid sailor and outdoorsman. A member of the Plymouth Rod and Gun Club, he was also certified as a SCUBA diver and was a folk guitarist.
Gene is survived by his wife, Sandra, his son Patrick of Murrietta, CA., brothers Mark of Edinboro, PA and Chuck of Jacksonville Beach, FL., and a sister Rita of Huntington, IN.
Visiting hours were at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Carver, on Monday, September 10. The funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, September 11 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 130 Main St., Carver. Interment followed at the Lakeham Cemetery, Forest St., Carver.
