Louis P. Owen, 82, of Fort Pierce, Florida, died September 17, 2012 at his home.
Born in Oil City, Pennsylvania, he had been a resident of Fort Pierce for 21 years, coming from Warren, Pennsylvania.
A Veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served with the United States Navy.
He was a life member of the American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts, in Warren.
He was a Pipefitter by trade, working for Power Plants in Pennsylvania and most recently, the Florida Power and Light Nuclear Plant on Hutchinson Island. In his younger days, he coached for the Hot Stove League and the Cub Scouts in the Warren area.
Survivors include four sons, Robert L. Owen & Wife Kathy, of Russell, Pa., Scott M. Owen, of Port Saint Lucie, Fl., Gael R. Owen, of Fort Pierce, Fl., and Drew A. Owen, of Warren Pa., one daughter, Reina L. Johnson & Fiance' Michael Runyon, of Fort Pierce, Fl., 11 Grandchildren: Katie, Christopher, & Lisa Owen of Warren, Pa. Zachary Owen of Port St. Lucie, Fl. Alisha Owen of Gainesville, Fl., Michael Owen & Wife Brandy of California Emmy, Erin, Svea, and Izzy of Warren, Pa. Kyle Johnson & Wife Carmen of Warren, Pa., 3 GreatGrandchildren: Kylie, Bobby, & Addison Johnson of Warren, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Norma Mead Owen, his parents, Raymond and Margaret Owen, one sister, Lois Lundmark, & one brother, Larry Owen.
Celebration of Life will be determined by the family at a later date.
