Douglas E. Moore, age 55, of Virginia Beach, and formerly from Lander, Pennsylvania, passed away Friday, September 14, at Hospice Care Unit at the VA Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia.
Douglas was born September 4, 1957 in Warren, Pa. He attended Eisenhower HS and graduated with the Class of 1975. After graduating from the University of Rochester in 1979, he served in the United States Navy until 1987. He worked for Northrup Grumman after retiring from active duty.
Douglas is survived by his father, Nelson Moore of Virginia Beach; his sister Julie Rubin, of Roswell, Ga; his sister, Rhonda Canfield of Reston, Virginia; and his life partner, Deborah Allen of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by his nephew Joshua Rubin and his niece, Alexandra Canfield.

Douglas was predeceased by his mother, Sandra Moore in May 2012.
A memorial service is being planned for later in Lander, Pennsylvania.
