Warren County Christian School's volleyball team improved to 7-0 on the season with a dominant 3-0 victory over Tidioute Tuesday at Tidioute Community Charter School.
The Lions were hot from the opening set, winning 25-8, 25-10, 25-13.
Allyssa Kerr had another big day for the Lady Lions, contributing 27 service points, 10 aces and three kills while Kaitlin Weidner added seven service points, three aces, four kills and 13 assists. Also playing well for WCCS were Jessica Lauffenburger with 12 service points, five aces and three kills, Dymphee Zortman with eight kills and three service points and Whitney Poindexter with two kills and a block.

Tidioute got a kill and a block from Ryleigh Mahney and, according to coach Margie Manning, Peyton Hittie delivered a strong performance in back row during her first varsity start.
WCCS also won the junior varsity contest, 25-18, 22-25, 15-2. Kelsey Kelly had 14 service points and Allie Marino had two kills and an ace for the winners.
WCCS will try to remain perfect on the year Friday when it visits Erie Bethel. Tidioute (1-4) is at East Forest Thursday.

Rocky Grove 1
ROCKY GROVE - "We went back to basics," said Youngsville coach Bev Fox, whose Lady Eagles improve to 2-2 overall with a 25-20, 25-18, 25-27, 25-13 four-game win over Rocky Grove. "They hustled and they had fun. Instead of thinking (too much)."
Fox said the Lady Eagles bounced back quickly from the tough Game 3 loss.
Kennedy Cratty had eight points, 12 kills and 23 digs; Judi Lewis 25 digs; Abbey McLaughlin 12 points, 10 digs and seven kills; Aubree Hendrickson 21 assists and 10 points, and; Karissa Cratty 24 digs and six kills.
Youngsville was a 25-6, 25-7 winner in J.V. Kailey Giese had 11 points; Karrie Baker five kills and four digs; Marissa Byler 10 assists, and Elyssa Horn eight digs.

Cambridge Springs 3, Eisenhower 0
CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS - The Lady Knights fall to 1-2 in Region 2 with the 14-25, 16-25, 11-25 loss at Cambridge Springs.
"Although we lost, our girls played amazing," said Ike coach Tina Edwards, whose Knights are 1-3 overall and 1-2 in region. "Probably the best we have played, working well together."
Kelsey Repke had four digs, three kills; Holly Chapman two kills; Marion Sherer and Alyssa Peterson a "handful of blocks each," and; Cassidy Edwards five blocks.
"We hung with them in both the second and third (games)," said Edwards, whose Knights are at undefeated Union City on Thursday.
Cambridge is now 2-2 and 1-2 in region.
Mallory Trumbull had eight service points and two kills in Ike's 12-25, 19-25 junior varsity loss.

ECC 3, Sheffield 0
Playing just one day after the program's first win in two years, the Lady Wolverines looked to keep the momentum rolling at home against league-opponent Elk County Catholic. Unfortunately, the Crusaders had other plans. Sheffield was swept by Elk County in three sets, 14-25, 17-25, and 8-25.
"We need to work on our communication and transitions," said Sheffield coach Tracey Vile. "We didn't play our game. We played flat."
In a slow day offensively, senior Hannah Vile had six assists to lead the Wolverines. Abby Labesky and Kayla Curtis had four kills each in the loss.
Sheffield will take a week to prepare for Ridgway on Tuesday.
