Wayne M. Keister, 90, a resident at Nelsons Golden Years in DuBois, Pa. and a former Brockway, Pa. resident, passed away September 13, 2012 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Wayne was born on October 14, 1921 in Brookville, Pa. to Merlin and Nora Halpin Keister. He was married to Maxine H. Moore, who died in May of 1997.
Wayne served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII.
Wayne was a Methodist by faith. He was a member of the Elk Masonic Lodge #379 in Ridgway. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. Wayne was retired. He had been employed at the Pittsburg and Shawmut Railroad as General Foreman of Maintenance of Way.
He is survived by 1 Daughter: Debbie (Bob) Thomas of Brockway. 2 Sons: Darrell (Judy) Keister of Bellville, Illinois and Michael (Sue) Keister of Warren, Pa. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 8 greatgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 2 Brothers, Glenn and Kleo Keister, and a sister, Helen Lopez.
A private Funeral Service will be held at the convenience of the family, with Rev. Clair Lundberg officiating.
