Frederick Lee Dunham, 69, of Pittsfield, Pa., was unexpectedly called to his Heavenly reward on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, while cutting wood.
He was born on July 6, 1943 to the late Lewis and Mary Carr Dunham.
Fred was raised and edu-cated in Warren, Pa. He was a 1961 graduate of Warren Area High School. After graduation, he entered ac-tive duty in the US Navy aboard the USS Taussig.

Following his military discharge, he worked at the Warren County Dairy. Fred retired in 2000 from the former National Forge, Ir-vine, Pa., after 35 years of employment as a toolmaker and drill press operator. Since retirement, he drove school van for Suppa Tran-sportation for 11 years.
Fred enjoyed hunting, especially rabbit, cutting firewood, traveling, and caring for his family and friends. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan since an early age. Many called him "Mr. Pirate". The pin-nacle of his love of the Pirates happened on July 20, 2012 when he personal-ly met Bob Walk and Steve Blass. Steve Blass auto-graphed Fred's copy of his book "A Pirate for Life".
He was a former member of Grace Methodist Church. The past 26 years, Fred had been an active member of Berea Lutheran Church, Pittsfield, Pa. He also served many years as direc-tor of the Wrightsville Lutheran Cemetery Associ-ation.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by a sister in infan-cy, Mary Lou Dunham.
Fred is survived by his wife of 38 years, Beverly Tripp Dunham, whom he married on October 20, 1973 in Columbus, Pa., a daughter Elizabeth Dun-ham and granddaughter Hay-ley of Erie, Pa., three broth-ers Kenneth Dunham and his wife Susan of Scandia, Pa., Keith Dunham and his wife Lynn of Tiona, Pa., and Craig Dunham of War-ren, Pa. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews, who have fond memories of their "Uncle Fly".
Fred was a kind, gentle man who was known for his dependability. He was the epitome of a faithful hus-band, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Brack-en Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Friday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, and at the Berea Luth-eran Church, Jct. Routes 6 and 958, Pittsfield, Pa., on Saturday from 12 noon un-til the time of the funeral service there at 1 pm. Rev. Mark Fisher and Rev. Ray Forstrom will officiate.
Burial will be in Berea Lutheran Cemetery, Pitts-field, Pa.
