Mrs. Joan Auflick, 74, passed into the next life September 11, 2012 at 6:50am in Kane Community Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born September 17, 1937 in Warren to the late Charles and Jane Barger Tanguy and was a lifelong area resident.
Joan is survived by three daughters, Tricia Vukich, Sheffield, Cassie Knowles, Holiday, FL, and Mary Kay Auflick, Sheffield; a son John Auflick, Ashville, NY; nine grandchildren Joshua Auflick, Khara Swartz, Amanda, McClellan, Mathew Auflick, Sara Masi, Sean Swartz, David McClellan, Daniel Auflick, and Hannah Aflick; six greatgrandchildren Selena Foster, Kiara Foster, Emily Foster, Ariana Masi, Oscar Auflick, and Giana Masi; two brothers Ray Tanguy, Golden, CO and Dan Tanguy, Boyton Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rodney Auflick , whom she married September 17, 1956 in Nelsonville, OH; and a sister Anne Pillar.
There will be a private graveside service at St. Joseph's Cemetery. A celebration of Joan's life will be held at the Sheffield VFW beginning at 1:00pm Saturday, September15, 2012.
