ANNE TASSONE

Anne Russell Tassone, 88, of Warren, PA, died at 8:17 A.M. Wednesday morning, September 12, 2012 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Home. She was born December 19, 1923 in Warren, PA to the late Merle and Alta Virtue Russell. She was a lifelong Warren resident and was a 1941 graduate of Warren Area High School. Anne was employed for 25+ years with New Process Company. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the church Altar Rosary Society, volunteer for their Catholic Christian Doctrine program, and worked many wedding receptions and other church dinners.

She was a member of the Warren Y.M.C.A., enjoyed reading, playing cards with her friends, and playing Bocce. Anne was an avid golfer for many years and an active volunteer with the Warren Public Library Association.

She is survived by her 6 children Camilla Hays and husband, Bob of Glenmoore, PA, Gail Robillard of Warren, PA, Ronald G. Tassone and wife, Natalie of Edinboro, PA, Nick A. Tassone, Jr. of N. Warren, PA, Mark A. Tassone and wife, Jackie of Cincinnati, OH, Daniel J. Tassone and wife, Linda of Warren, PA, 1 Sister Jeanne Parisi of Warren, PA, 6 Grandchildren Jessica Tassone, Justin Blair, Mark Tassone, Katie (Andy) Hays, Kelly Robillard, Abby Tassone, 1 GreatGrandson Arlo Ciatola.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Nicholas Anthony Tassone, whom she married in Warren, PA on October 23, 1948, who died November 7, 1993. Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA, on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA at 10:00 A.M., with Fr. James Gutting, Pastor, officiating.
