Charged. Warren City Police responded to Thorne's BiLo at 10:49 a.m. Sept. 7 after it was reported that two males attempted to leave the store with paying for merchandise. Police said Josef Hillard, Warren, was charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy; Tanner Brink, Clarendon, was charged with retail theft.
Cited. Warren City Police said John Redington, Randolph, N.Y., was cited at 9:29 p.m. Sept. 8 after he alarmed residents at a Market Street address by being on their porch and pounding on the door. Police said Redington was highly intoxicated.
Glade Twp.
Theft. Warren-based state police report an investigation into the July 4 theft of a dog from a residence on Quaker Hill Rd. has led to the dog's recovery from the residence of Nicole Walters, 31 on Sept. 8. A positive identification was made using the implanted microchip. The dog has been returned to it's owner and a charge of theft is pending against the accused.
Crash. Warren-based state police report a one vehicle accident occurred on Hemlock Rd. on Sept. 9 at approximately 1:45 p.m. According to police, Timothy McMillen, 24 of Warren, and his passenger, Donnagan Wertz were traveling west on Hemlock Rd. at a speed too fast for current roadway conditions. The 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt left the north edge of the roadway and struck a tree with it's passenger's front end and came to rest in the westbound lane. Both individuals were wearing seatbelts and Wertz received minor injuries. Glade VFD and Emergycare responded and the vehicle was towed from the scene by Pennmark.
Pine Grove Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police report a crash occurred Sept. 8 at 7:30 a.m. on N. Main Street, .1 mile south of Akeley Rd. when the driver lost control on the wet road and struck a guardrail. The 1998 Toyota Avalon received minor damage and was driven from the scene. The driver, who was not injured, was charged with Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.
Sheffield Twp.
Harassment. Warren-based state police report Jennifer Hadley, Sheffield, has been cited for harassment through District Justice Carlson's Office after striking Melody Jones, Sheffield, in the face and head causing injury. The incident occurred Sept. 9 at 2:30 a.m. on First Mill St.
