The 50th Annual Rotary 4-H Achievement Night will be held Thursday, Nov. 8, at the 4-H Center in Pittsfield. Warren County 4-H members and volunteers will be honored for their achievements. The Pennsylvania 4-H program is also celebrating 100 years of programming.
All members and volunteers are encouraged to apply for awards that relate to their leadership and project skill development. The 4-H program is offering a new award in 2012, the Perschke Clover Award for Leadership Development sponsored by the Perschke family. Mr. Perschke worked for Penn State Extension for over 30 years. 4-H members that have shown leadership development through communication and collaboration are encouraged to apply.
Applications for many awards can be found online extension.psu.edu/warren/programs/4-h. The deadline to submit application is September 17 and is quickly approaching. If you need applications mailed, contact the Penn State Extension office in Warren County at 563-9388.
The 4-H program is a youth development program of Penn State Cooperative Extension. It is open to all youth between the ages of 8 and 19.
