Crash. Conewango Twp. police reported that on Sept. 7 at 4:17 p.m., Mitchell Stenberg, Warren, was traveling north in the left-hand lane of Rt. 62 in a Jeep Cherokee. As he approached a line of traffic stopped near Jackson Run Rd., he applied his brakes, and a Chevrolet Aveo operated by Mark Hook, Warren, struck his vehicle in the rear. There were no injuries as a result of the crash. Stenberg's vehicle sustained very minor damage and was driven from the scene. Hook's vehicle sustained heavy damage to the front end and was towed from the scene by Pennmark Towing Service. Hook was cited with following too closely.
Crash. Conewango Twp. police reported that on Sept. 9 at 11:13 a.m., David Brown, Tidioute, was driving east on Follett Run Rd. As he approached the area of 818 Follett Run Rd., a red Ford Explorer driven by Lester Stroup, Warren, was traveling west on Follett Run and was partially in the eastbound lane of the road. Brown attempted to swerve, but was unable to avoid being struck by Stroup's vehicle. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage. Brown's Chevy truck was towed from the scene by Koebley's Towing Service. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. Stroup was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic for failure to keep his vehicle in his proper lane of travel. Conewango Twp. police were assisted at the scene by N. Warren Fire Dept. and Emergycare.
Public Drunkenness. Warren-based state police reported that on Sept. 8 at 9:20 p.m., Robert Kreitzbender, Jr., Youngsville, appeared at the locations of Island Park and Top's Market parking lot while under the influence of alcohol to the degree that he was causing a public annoyance. Kreitzbender was cited for public drunkenness and released to an acquaintance with no further incident.
