Ten defendants entered pleas of guilty, five entered pleas of not guilty and three individuals had bench warrants issued against them for failure to appear during Thursday morning arraignment proceedings before Judge Maureen Skerda in Warren County Court.
Roger Dane Yaegle, 9 Chari Lane, answered charges stemming from two robberies last month.
Yaegle was captured on Monday, Aug. 6, for a strong-arm robbery which occurred at the Kwik-Fill at 600 Pennsylvania Ave. E. and an attempted strong-arm robbery at Subway on Market Street. Both incidents occurred on Aug. 4.
Yaegle entered a plea of guilty to a charge of theft by unlawful taking or disposition stemming from the Kwik-Fill incident. He admitted, in open court, to buying a bottle of water at the store, and then reaching over the counter when the clerk opened the cash register, telling the clerk to "give him all the money" and removing $100 before fleeing the store. A charge of robbery will not be prosecuted.
For the Subway incident, Yaegle entered a plea of guilty to a charge of criminal attempt (robbery). According to the charge, Yaegle attempted to "rob Subway by force." He failed to obtain any money and fled the scene. A charge of criminal attempt (theft by unlawful taking) will not be prosecuted.
Other guilty pleas included:
Rodney L. Baker II, 108 N. South St., to one count of simple assault. Another charge of simple assault will not be prosecuted.
Mary Louise Celotto, 755 Milestrip Rd., Irvine, to counts of DUI: general impairment - incapable of safe driving with refusal to submit to chemical testing, drivers required to be licensed and driving while under suspension with DUI. Charges of DUI: general impairment - incapable of safe driving, meet vehicle proceeding in opposite direction, driving on roadways laned for traffic, careless driving and DUI: general impairment - incapable of safe driving with accident will not be prosecuted.
Shawn D. Dibble, 1 Second Ave., Apt. 1, to one count of possession with intent to deliver (marijuana). A charge of criminal conspiracy (possession with intent to deliver) will not be prosecuted.
Ryan Dale Edwards, 400 Sandberg Rd., Frewsburg, N.Y., to a charge of stalking. Two counts of terroristic threats and seven counts of harassment will not be prosecuted.
Michael Todd Frazier, Warren County Jail, to a charge of possession of a controlled substance. A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia will not be prosecuted.
Axel L. Johnson Sr., 323 Wilderness Trailer Park, Clarendon, to one count of failure to comply with registration of sexual offenders.
Faye Elizabeth Smith, 1110 Madison Ave., to one count of endangering the welfare of a child. Two more counts of endangering the welfare of a child will not be prosecuted.
Burdette Guy Thomas III, 146 Saybrook Rd., Sheffield, to a count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition. Charges of theft by receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy (theft by unlawful taking) will not be prosecuted.
Shonda M. Winne, 1570 Cobb Rd., Spartansburg, to a count of recklessly endangering another person. Two counts of simple assault, a charge of aggravated assault, a charge of terroristic threats and a charge of harassment will not be prosecuted.
Not guilty pleas included:
Danniele E. Bloom, 1104 Pennsylvania Ave. E., Apt B., to charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.
Michael J. Bowen, 32 E. Main St., Corry, to charges of DUI: highest rate of alcohol (BAC .16+) and DUI: general impairment - incapable of safe driving.
Austin John Donato, Warren County Jail, to two charges of burglary, two charges of criminal trespass, a charge of theft by unlawful taking and a charge of unauthorized use of automobiles and other vehicles.
David Woodrow Jenkins III, 14 Fullerton Rd., Clarendon, to charges of possession of a controlled substance (bath salts), possession with intent to deliver, possession of a small amount of marijuana, violation of the controlled substance, drug device and cosmetic act, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest or other law enforcement.
Alexander David Layden, 10194 Rt. 6, Box 221, Tiona, to two charges of burglary, two charges of criminal trespass, five counts of loitering and prowling at night time and four counts of disorderly conduct.
Ashley John Thornton, 515 Water St, Apt. 3N, to a charge of retail theft.
Bench warrants for failure to appear in court were issued for Heather Nichole Smith, 409 Laurel St., Apt. 3; Billie J. Vandermark, 1 Plum St.; and Alan Ray Wilson, 211 Ackley Rd., Russell.
