Dear editor:
I write this just after arriving home from the Open House put on by the staff of Warren Area High School. Admittedly, I only teach there for half of the school day. Still, I only met with two parents. Two.
It is a bit of a disappointment because I feel like really great things happen in my room. I wanted to lay out what I'm teaching, and how excited I am to share it with students. I feel like my students do really great things in my classroom, on the path to productive and prosperous citizenship. I'm excited to share that with parents, and connect with them so that we can all be on the same team.
To the parents who came up even though it was humid and rainy, thank you. To anyone who didn't show up, I'd really like to invite you to the next open house your child has. The educators of Warren County are proud of what we accomplish with our students and want to share it with you!
