At Chapman State Park this weekend, there will be a program on "Bird Banding" with Emily Thomas from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8. Don't miss the fall migration! Join Emily Thomas, an avid birder, to learn about the birds of Chapman State Park. Mist nets will be set up to catch the birds. Participants will enjoy handling and identifying various species. Meet at the Environmental Learning Center.
From 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, "Geo-Caching 101" will be held.Join the Park Naturalist at the Amphitheater for an introduction to the high tech game of geo-caching. After learning the basics, enjoy searching for caches in the park. GPS units will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
The non-denominational worship service will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at the amphitheater.
