Warren
Burglary. On August 31, Warren City Police were dispatched to the Holiday Inn in Warren for a reported theft. A surveillance video showed an unknown male who broke in through the ball room door and entered the kitchen where he cut the locks on the refrigerator and stole several food items. The video shows a maleapproximatley 6' entering the room dressed in a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt pulled over his head. He was wearing a green ski mask with red trim above the eye holes. All that can be seen in the video is that the subject is a white male. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Harasssment. Tyler R. Gelotte, Warren, and Kelly M. Berlin-Fredericks, Youngsville, were both cited on September 3 at 8:44 p.m. by Warren City Police after they were engaged in a verbal and physical altercation at Gelotte's residence.
Disorderly conduct. Mary M. Vanhart, Warren, was cited on August 30 at 2:14 p.m. by Warren City Police after she followed an individual to their residence and attempted to gain entry.
Crash. Warren City Police responded to a two vehicle accident on September 4 at 12:47 p.m. Nancy Agerter, Russell, was traveling north on North Carver Street and, after stopping at the stop sign, proceeded to make a right hand turn onto Jackson Avenue. Donald Wilson, Warren, was traveling west on Jackson Avenue and attempted to make a left hand turn onto North Carver Street. Wilson's vehicle entered into Agerter's lane of traffic, causing the accident. Agerter's vehcle sustained moderate damage on the driver's side front bumper and was driven from the scene. Wilson's vehicle sustained moderate damage on the driver's side front fender and door. His vehicle was towed from the scene by Pennmark Towing. Wilson was issued a citation for careless driving.
PFA violation. Francis J. Notoro, Warren County Jail, was charged by Warren City Police after he called a known female from jail who he has an active court order which prohibits him from making any contact with.
Criminal mischief. Delphanie L. Campagna, Warren, was cited by Warren City Police after she was observed on video breaking an ornament on a nighbor's fence on August 27 at 2:29 p.m.
Theft. Warren City Police filed a criminal complaint on September 4 charging Dale M. Brown, Clarendon, after he found a woman's purse on February 26 at Kwik Fill on Hickory Street. Knowing it was lost, he took possession of the purse and failed to take reasonable measures to ensure the property was returned to the owner. The incident was recorded on surveillance video. On August 15, Brown entered Kwik Fill and was recognized by an employee that was working in February and had witnessed him take the purse. He has been charged with theft of property lost, mislaid or delivered by mistake.
Identity theft. Warren City Police filed a criminal complaint on September 5 charging Shamika L. Hall, Florida, after an investigation into a complaint from a Hammond Street resident. Hall had allegedly transferred money from the victim's checking and savings accounts by using identifying information on four seperate occassions in February. The total amount stolen from the victim's accounts is $4,050.00.
Deerfield Twp.
Burglary. Warren-based state police reported that Kyle Mackenzie Kowalski, Grand Valley, was charged with on count of burglary and two counts each of criminal attempt theft of a motor vehicle and criminal mischief for his involvement in a crime at a camp on Youngsville Road belonging to Sandra A. Clark, Amherst, Oh. Charges were filed on August 29 at District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth's office. A warrant was issued.
Triumph Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on PA-127 west of Cambell Hill Road. A 2000 Ford Explorer XLT driven by Denise J. Spencer, Titusville, was traveling south on SR 127 on wet roadways. Spencer lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a left curve, crossed the center line, left the east side of the roadway and strick a guard rail. Impact with the guard rail caused the vehicle to rotate counter clockwise approximately 90 degrees while rolling over onto its roof, coming to final rest facing northeast on its roof in the southbound lane. Spencer, and a passenger, Tanner J. Lamb, Tidioute, were both treated and transported via Tidioute Ambulance to Warren General Hospital, according to police. Frank's Auto towed the vehicle from the scene. Spencer will be cited for driving vehicle at safe speed and driving on roadways laned for traffic through District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth.
