Trap shoot
A trap shoot benefitting the Sheffield volleyball team will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 22, at the Sheffield Rod & Gun Club. The cost is $20 and the event features 25 wobble and 25 standard targets, a .22 shoot, 50/50 raffle and chinese auction. For more information, contact Amy at 726-9878.
Golf results
Rob Ritchie was the overall winner of of the 2012 Club Championship held this past weekend at Jackson Valley Golf Club with a score of 143. Mark Thompson was second overall with a round of 149. The championship flight was won by Tim Watkins with a two-day total of 153. Skete Williams was second with a 154 and Andy Hanks was third with a 155.
The first flight of the tournament was won by Terry English with a 159. Pat Ross followed with a 160 and Phil Holcomb was third with a 162. Joe Font won the second flight with a score of 167 and was followed by Joe Muscaro with a 169 and Mark Toter with a 170. Mark Silvis won the senior division of the tournament.
Louise Swartz won the ladies division of the event with a 176. Megan Smoulder was second with a 180 and Mary Beth Whiting was third with a 185.

The team of Drew Young & Ruth Derby and Jim Phillips & Pat Phillips won a Labor Day Couples Tournament Monday at Conewango Valley Country Club with a score of 56. The team of Ron Leofsky & Deb Leofsky and John Dale & Judy Dale was second with a 58 and Jim Senger & Betsy Senger and Bob McGinn & Judy McGinn were third with a score of 63.
Hole-in-one
Harry Punia recorded a hole-in-one on the 189-yard par-3 sixth hole Tuesday at Jackson Valley Golf Club. The shot was made with a 5-wood and was witnessed by Roy Christenson and Scott Pepperman.

The Harbor Creek and Union City at Warren cross country meet originally scheduled for Tuesday was postponed. No make-up date has been announced.
