A fire damaged a home on Follett Run Road near the intersection with Liberty Street Extension over the weekend. Tim Reynolds, North Warren Volunteer Fire Department chief, said the fire started around 4 a.m. Saturday. There were six people home at the time, but all evacuated safely. Although the cause of the fire is undetermined, Reynolds said it started in the east end of the home and extended to the roof, causing extensive damage. The structure is unlivable at this time. It took responders about 3 hours to put out the fire. In addition to North Warren, Starbrick, Pleasant, Glade, Russell, Lander and Sugar Grove volunteer fire departments, as well as EmergyCare and the Red Cross, all responded. Reynolds praised the response the Red Cross provided, stepping in to meet the family's needs and taking "a lot of weight" off of the emergency responders responsibilities. Reynolds did not release the name of the owner of the home.
