Warren Area Elementary Center held their Meet the Teacher Night on Wednesday evening, Aug. 29. Parents met their children's principals and teachers. Parents of sixth grade students heard explanations of the middle level concept including exploratory classes, advisory period and team meetings. Also the teachers stressed the importance of students using the agendas as an important communication tool for parents. Many teachers gave SmartBoard presentations about classroom procedures and expectations and shared other resources for their child's education. Parents and children were welcome to stroll around the school to see all of the rooms. So the parents could be free to visit with teachers, representatives of Warren Area High School Student Council provided childcare. Children played in the gym and on the playground, and some even got to watch a movie.
