Chautauqua trap
Busti, Celoron and Randolph finished in a three-way tie for the second half title in the Chautauqua County Trap League on Thursday. All three teams finished in a three-way tie for the first half title as well.
Busti and Randolph's match on Thursday needed to go to the 14th shooter in order to break the tie. Busti ended with a 686-685 victory to claim a share of the second half title. In other action, Celoron downed Carroll, 342-323.
Busti's Dick Starks, John Pearson, Charlie Brown and Kirk Decker, Randolph's Gary Sickles, Dale Speta, Ron Gunnell and D.M. Bifaro and Celoron's Dave Waterman all had perfect scores of 50 during the competition.
Sandy Rater and Tiffany Decker shared high lady honors with 48's, Tyler Chase and Andrew Hvizdzak shared high junior marks with 49's and Ben Paddock and Dalton Becker were high sub-juniors with 49's. Dave Straight and Brian Westerdahl were high vets with 49's, Starks was high senior vet with his 50 and Sickles was high super senior vet with his 50.
A league meeting will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday to discuss the upcoming shoot-off for the league championship. Here are the complete results from Thursday's round:

5K run
The Adam's Apple 5K Fun Run, benefitting the Sheffield First United Methodist Church (SUMC) Youth Group, in memory of Pastor Ralph Romine, will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, beginning at First United Methodist Church in Sheffield.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. The race is held in conjunction with the Johnny Appleseed Festival in Sheffield.

The Youngsville Wrestling Boosters are hosting their 4th Annual Golf Scramble Fundraiser at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, at Cable Hollow Golf Course.
Registration fees are $60 per person.
