VOLLEYBALL: Lady Lions move to 2-0 with road win

MEADVILLE - Warren County Christian School's volleyball team improved to 2-0 on Friday with a sweep of Meadville Calvary Baptist.

"They improved some of the things they had trouble with on Tuesday," said WCCS coach Monika Kerr, whose Lions won 25-19, 25-10 and 25-17.

Kaitlin Weidner had 15 service points and eight assists in a match in which WCCS was strong serving. Weidner added 11 assists in the win.

Jessie Lauffenburger had 11 service points and 10 aces, Allyssa Kerr six aces and three kills and Dymphee Zortman five kills.

WCCS also won the junior varsity contest, 25-15, 18-25 and 15-9. Hunter Uplinger had five aces and two kills and Rachel Beatty got in the kill column for the first time.
