Fall is just around the corner and with it comes our fall fundraiser, Basket raffle. Donations are being accepted for the basket and you can see it at the Sheffield craft and bake sale on Oct. 27 and the Senior Expo on Oct. 26.

Flu shots have been scheduled for October 15 from 9-12 with Kane Home health. No cost with Medicare card.

Kitchen band is looking for some new faces to join us in our travels and lots of fun. This month we will go to the Rouse and Bridges of the Rouse to entertain.

Don't feel like driving to Warren for appointments or shopping sign up for TAWC bus. The bus will pick you up at your door every Wednesday and the cost is only 25 cents for each stop. Call the center and we will do the scheduling for you.

We are always looking for pool players so with outdoor activities coming to an end stop in and see our new pool table and join in the fun.

There's still room on the bus trip to Fulton, OH, to enjoy an exciting day on Wednesday, September 5. Departure time is 7 a.m.! You'll take a horse drawn boat ride on the Ohio and Erie Canal aboard the St. Helena III. Trip includes a fine dinner, tour of the Glassworks and shopping in Fulton's historic district. This is just a reminder that Bingo is played in the ACC dining room on Mondays at 1 p.m. Friday night Bingo on September 14 at 6 p.m. in the dining room, too. Doors open at 4 p.m. to find a good seat. The public is welcome.

All non-casino trips leave from the CRI parking lot located on Pennsylvania Avenue West, just over the railroad tracks on the left (along the river), unless otherwise instructed to park elsewhere. Salamanca Casino trips depart from the Big Lots parking lot at the Warren Mall, as always. Not sure, just call 723-3237!

ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. M-F with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Mon. & Wed. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays. Hot lunches are available Mondays-Fridays at noon. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunch is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Take-outs available.

Lunches

The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers Sept. 3-7: closed Monday, pizza Tuesday, chicken salad Wednesday, soup and sandwich Thursday and chef surprise Friday. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations.
