A milestone of service
Dear editor:
We feel it is appropriate to take a moment to congratulate our dad, Ed Hunter, on a very personal accomplishment. He says he does this as a "personal thing" and not for any recognition.
Over the past years dad has quietly transported Disabled American Veterans (DAV) to hospitals in Buffalo, NY; Cleveland, OH; Erie and Pittsburgh, PA. Recently dad accumulated over 100,000 miles driving a DAV van for our disabled. He has over 4,000 hours of volunteer time and has transported over 1,000 patients to their scheduled appointments.
This is done between volunteering at the VA center and serving on the Sheffield - Clarendon VFW Post Honor Guard.
Congratulations dad on your personal goal and for your contribution to the Veterans of Warren. You don't want accolades for your service but your kids are proud of you and so are many others.
Your kids;
Tom Hunter
Tim Hunter
Chuck Hunter
Diane Hunter Ockunzzi
Michael Hunter
